Perseid Meteors - August 2012

There were some gaps in the cloud but they didn't last long. This Peseid racing through Delphinus was the best complete meteor of the evening.

Conditions deteriorated later on but I left the camera running anyway. Luckily it captured the start of this bright Perseid, which would probably have rivalled Jupiter in brightness.

The same meteor was captured in a wider angle view but it looks rather strange. Although I was lucky to catch it on two cameras the problem with this image is that the meteor started before the shutter opened. It then recorded the fading train as well as the end of the meteor's brief flight.
