Total Lunar Eclipse - 3rd March 2007

The best lunar eclipse we've had for years with clear sky right through totality.

13 minutes before the moon entered the umbra some penumbral shading was already visible at the bottom.

22 minutes into the partial phase.

13 minutes before totality and the reddening of the shadow is obvious.

3 minutes after totality ended.

22 minutes after totality ended. Thin cirrus was moving in and by the time the moon was completely out of the shadow an hour later there was a faint 22 degree halo.
