Circumhorizon Arc Fragments

Patches of cirrus mingled with old jet contrails show a little bit of colour as they pass through the region where the circumhorizon arc is visible. The solar altitude was 61 degrees.

This image is about 60 degrees wide with the visible part of the circumhorizon arc taking more than half the width.

The sections of cloud are shown in more detail. Traces of spectral colours show up, unfortunately just a tiny fraction of what is possible.
