The upper tangent arc is often stronger than the 22 degree halo and can be a bit more colourful, though not as much as the circumzenithal arc for example. |

Both the upper and lower tangent arcs are visible here. The 22 degree halo was barely visible which indicates the ice crystals were not randomly oriented. |
