Afternoon Haloes

The sky was filled with cirrus for several hours but the best part of this 22 degree halo lasted just a few minutes. Later in the afternoon a weak parhelic circle was also visible.

With this kind of cirrus it can be hard to pick out the colourless parhelic circle from other streaks of cirrus. The 120 degree parhelion would be somewhere along this section but the irregular brightness makes it difficult to be sure. Sun altitude 41 degrees.
