Cloud Corona

This a common effect often referred to as the small halo round the moon. A corona can be seen when viewing any bright source through microscopic and evenly sized water drops. Usually only a few degrees across the apparent size varies according to the droplet sizes. Never look directly at the sun ! Shield the sun and use proper eye protection against the glare.
