Various Sunsets

It wasn't raining but there must have been a lot of moisture in the air to scatter the twilight rays and cause this broad glow.

This sunset was spectacular, although at the time I didn't think it was quite as purple as the images suggest.

Even when the air is very clear the rays of the setting sun are still reddened. The high atmosphere is still blue and the cirrus clouds appear white, but the lower level rays have had much of the blue scattered out.

Here the clouds catch the low sun at just the right angle to create a fiery display.
