Circumzenithal Arc

Left: This circumzenithal arc was visible for over half an hour. Here a cloud conveniently blocks out some of the glare from the sun.

Bottom Left: The sun altitude was 22 degrees when this image was taken and most of the arc is visible. Unfortunately it was a fairly hazy afternoon which reduced the contrast.

Bottom Right: A little later the arc started to brighten, but was more broken. Lower level cloud then moved in and blocked the view, by the time it cleared the arc was gone.
