Lunar Halo and Jupiter

This halo looked like it would last a while so I set the camera running for an hour, but lower level cloud blotted it out at the end. Jupiter is the bright object on the right edge of the halo.

An overexposed image was needed to pick out some of the stars. Cick on the image to get a version large enough to see them.

Castor and Pollux are just outside the left edge of the halo at 9 o'clock. Orion's belt is on the halo at 5 o'clock. Aldebaran is just inside the halo at 2 o'clock while Jupiter is the bright object above it.

A composite of three images showing the full halo.
