Morning Sundogs

Despite a sky full of thin cirrus sundogs were the only halo effect seen, and then only for a few minutes. Although not particularly bright the colours were very clear.

With a sun altitude of 26 degrees the colour bands in this one are clearly not vertical.

This one formed again a few minutes later but increasing low level cloud blocked out the view.
