White Sundog

This small patch of cloud caught my eye because it seemed much brighter than normal. Roughly in the right area of sky for a sundog it was unusual because it was intense but colourless.

Zooming in shows that the cloud only just reaches the position of the normal 22 degree parhelion, with slight colour appearing on the left. Most of the light seemed to be coming from a patch within the bright 'tail'.

Had I been standing a few hundred metres to the right it would probably have been an intensely coloured sundog.
