Primary Rainbow

A complete primary and secondary bow is not that common, but is a wonderful sight when it does occur. Unfortunately the average lens does not have a wide enough angle of view to take in the whole bow. A polarising filter was used here to improve contrast.

The primary bow is well known for its colours.		A combination of well illuminated rain and a dark background produced this striking section of rainbow. The illumination wasn't perfectly even as shown by the faint radial shadows within the bow.
