Very low rainbow

The sun was just over 38 degrees above the horizon so the top of the rainbow barely clears the trees. Only the left portion is illuminated at this stage.

As the patch of sunlight moves to the right the whole of the top of the bow is illuminated.

The left edge disappears as the patch of sunlight moves away.

In the five minutes between the first and last images the sun had dropped by about half a degree. Although the lighting is different these sections from the two images show that the later bow is higher, with the indigo part of the bow now visible above the trees.
